Life On Mars

I have been watching this show now for a couple weeks and it is blowing my mind. A New York City cop gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1973. He knows everything from 2008 but not how or why he is there.

One of the coolest scenes was when he turned and saw that the Twin Towers were standing again.

Crazy show but with Harvey Keitel as the star power it is very good. Check it out.

Getting The Band Back Together

So I went down to Tony and Carrie's house to play some Rock Band 2 last week. When The Tard Mullets get back together, many beers are chemically turned into urine.

Also, we get loud and crazy. My voice cracks and Tony sports the Faux Hawk.

Ava Is A Star

Take a look at this site. Ava, my niece, is going to be a model. Yeah, Tony and Carrie are on the fast track in exploiting their child. I'm so proud.

Squirrels, Death and Me

I was almost killed by a squirrel the other day. (The word squirrel just doesn't look right to me...just saying.) Only my finely tuned reflexes and superior survival instincts saved me.

Well, that's it people. Post is over.

OK, I guess I owe you an explanation huh? So I was going up the stairs to my place on the second floor. When I reached the landing, that's when the attack happened. The squirrel ambushed me and started to hop around.

To the untrained observer, it would have appeared the critter was scared and was jumping around to find an escape route. But I knew better. That deadly animal was using the Quart of Blood Technique on me.

That same untrained observer would have thought that I was screaming like a girl while using the lord's name in vain. However what I was doing, was a time tested maneuver that was able to disrupt the timing of the evil monster.

After seeing that it's advantage of surprised was spoiled, to beast did the wise thing and turned tail, literally, and ran away. To this day, I have no idea what provoked the attack, or why the squirrel marked me for death, but rest assured I will be ready for the next attack.

He can even bring some friends.

I will be waiting.

I Love Tina Fey

Really. Uncontrollably. When she puts on the Sarah Palin suit, she is amazing. I don't care about your politics, this video from Saturday Night Live is funny as hell. I'm sure that Tina Fey would make a better VP than Palin and I'm not saying that because I love her.

Just Leave it Alone!

So I'm watching the baseball playoffs and they are great. New teams, fun stories and compelling games.

The game of baseball is classic and should be appreciated, so it ticks me off that the TV executives can't just let us enjoy the games. FOX as added stupid animations and sound effects.

The dumbest thing ever is what they are doing now, interviewing the coaches and managers DURING the game. Why can't I just watch a game and be left alone. Now they split the screen talk over the game.

So dumb.

Random Thoughts Time!

The Mariners even suck at sucking.

They came one game away from equaling the worst season in their history. By losing 103 games, the M's became the first team to lose 100 games with $100,000,000 payroll. They fired their GM, the manager and cut several high priced players. By the way, Jamie Moyer who the Mariners thought was to old to keep playing, is pitching in the playoffs this week for Philly after winning 16 games.

My Job Sometimes Makes Me Laugh

At a work site today I was pulling a card access system and ran into this great example of careful planning. This first picture shows a cool patio were the owners and architects envisioned employees eating, drinking coffee and general merry making.

Now take a look at this next picture. This is a view from the patio looking inside.

Yeah, that's going to be a shower. In the women locker room. Lunch will be great fun, well for some people anyway.

Rock Band 2, Um... Rocks!

So I got Rock Band 2 last week and have been channeling my inner rock star all week. My favorite song so far; She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult.

So much fun to really get into the vocals. "The sparkle in your eyes, keeps my alive!" Can't be played loud enough.

How Cool In Online Bill Pay?

I just started playing with it today, and good God it's freaking cool. I just wish that I had some money to actually pay some bills.

I just want to thank everybody that has been helping me during the last six weeks or so. I been on the ledge a couple times and y'all have been great in talking me down. I may not say it at the time, but I really do appreciate the time and words you have been giving me.

The Blog is Here!

Here it is the long awaited, often promised new Beach Blog. Despite what is going on in my life, for this blog I will try to keep things light and fun.

So what has been going on you wonder? Well for those of you that don't know I'm separated, have moved into an apartment and started a new job. I not ready to start into the collapse of my marriage yet, the apartment to just that and the job is going great. So what can I blog about I hear you asking.

How about Sweater Kittens. Or getting in touch with friends that I haven't talk to in forever. Maybe how I am the worst Fantasy Football player ever. I got Rock Band 2 and that could be a post. Then there is the fact that I am becoming a karate man.

I will touch on all of these things and more. Just because my situation has changed, does not mean that weird or funny or just plain wrong things won't happen to me. And when it does, I will write about it. Promise.
